we would like a facelift. What I mean by this is we would like the current design to remain in the same wireframe as much as possible. We are very open to adding newly designed elements. Please refer to the attached image file (tricerat-mockup.jpg).
We would like the same concept applied to the homepage and the subpage to give the client a feel for it.
Here is a list of some of the things we would like tweaked: (note, these items follow the attached image mock up slightly and we are open to more changes than what is in this list.
It needs sharpened. Some of the items which we referenced in the screenshot:
1. Clean up header section:
a. Move languages to right side to give the logo more notice
b. Shift the logo down / make fit in left header better, maybe even make bigger if possible without compromising quality
c. Shift login around
d. Center “Enhancing Enterprise Management …” text
2. Left bar:
a. Clean up search box
b. Add in the submenu from the spreadsheet as opposed to a 2nd horizontal bar. (build a sub menu in the left bar that currently doesn’t exist
c. Clean up alliance partners logos so they are all proportionate
d. Clean up general vertical alignment formatting. Everything is on a different vertical plane it seems.
3. Content area:
a. Change link text in content to flow better. Currenty it is a blue purple color. Make it so links are noticeable, but don’t drive your eyes to them.
b. Give proper spacing around all content, headers, etc.
c. Make font size bigger so you can actually read it/ want to read it.
4. Right bar:
a. Currently there is not much of a right bar on most pages, only some. We have started using it as a call to action section with the big call to action buttons. They are working somewhat, but they either need more definition (color differences etc.) or something. We even kicked around the idea of integrating a quick form on the right. Something like “download button” “Give our software a trial drive today” or “fill out our info request form” with a small 4 field form or so. We are not sure on this, just ideas.
b. We are also not sure about having a right sidebar, or having the content wrap the proposed idea above. We will let you play with this.
