Our site is primarily a content / information site. Second it provides a free newsletter (as a means to generate leads and follow up with people). Third we sell products and services to basketball coaches (and sometimes players too). Our primary products are instructional ebooks and DVDs. We also offer some basketball camps and clinics for players and coaches.
We like clean and professional websites with white backgrounds (so they are easy to read). We like clean sites because our content is the most important thing and we don't want to detract from our content. But at the same time we want the site to look professional and look like we really are the most popular and most visited basketball coaching site in the world (which is what we are).

We need a home page that introduces the site and provides links to important content and has each section neatly organized and flexible for us to change and add new sections.
The content pages will probably just be the shell of the homepage and virtually the same so we might not need a second page design. The "content' pages will include articles, videos, sales pages, and so on. But I included this second page in the bid just in case. If we don't need it maybe we can adjust the bid.
We want to keep the navigation menu on the left and we don't want to change the site too much. We see this an "evolutionary" step not a "revolutionary" step. We already have an extremely popular website that has been successful for us. We just want to update it a little bit to make it looks more professional and a little more modern.
We are open to opinion and suggestions, but we feel we just need a new header and make small tweaks to link text and maybe the double borders and maybe make the nav menu more modern. Our logo must stay the same. We think very minor adjustments will make it more professional. We also think the boxes on the left where it says "Free Newsletter & Coaching eBooks" and "Q & A Forum" could be improved so they don't look like ads. But we want them simple enough so we can easily make our own changes to the boxes on the left.
Our target market is the 30-50 year old basketball coach, primarily male but some women too. The U.S. is our biggest market but we are also very popular in Canada, Europe, Australia, and have customers in all parts of the world.
