The Curtain Exchange is a retail store that offers new and recycled curtains. All curtains are ‘ready made’ (as in already made and ready to hang).
Customers bring in their window measurements and find curtains to fit.

Get the Detail – I want to get the information and find out how to get to the store.
This person will jump directly into the product pages and product gallery pages. Additionally having the Google map reference image allows the user to get a visual indication immediately on the web page.
I know what I want – I have already looked at the website, I’m upgrading my look and I want visit the store to trial some products. I have the time and money to visit the store, get a few of them
The explorer – What curtains do you have?
This is why there is the quick product view halfway down the page where the user can see particular products or visit the product gallery page.

Home Page:
This page provides the usual header, navigation showcase image slider, newsletter and the location map. The navigation is split intentionally. These exist here for key audience questions and business goals.
The other purpose is to start showing the curtains at this point, as this is why people visit.
Product Gallery Page:
After the user select ‘MORE’ of navigates to the ‘Curtains available’ page a gallery of curtains is displayed. There are filter options along the right hand side where by the user can target particular categories.
The curtains are grouped by their categories with a larger image of one product and a smaller showcase of some of the products. The title will highlight the category and the number of products currently being showcase in that category.
Each curtain image on this page will have a mouse over feature indicating selection of this will take the user to that product page. Again this is a showcase of the stores catalogue of curtains that are on sale, will contain a lot of scattered colour requires a friendly and soft presentation so the eye can easily scan the range of products.
Product Page:
The focus of this page is the product, and particularly the curtain image. There is an intention to have a light box feature to make the image larger. Feel free to explore a great visual presentation experience for the curtain product page.

Demographics of your target audience: age, gender, location, education.
• Primary audience: Female, 30+, home owner, house proud, interested in home-making and furnishings. Generally located in Hawthorn and surrounding suburbs although also have customers from regional areas (Ballarat, Bendigo). Educated.
• Secondary audience (and a demographic we are trying to grow): Couples, home-owners, renovators, interested in the home. May not have purchased curtains before, so not sure where to buy them from, uncertain about the process (eg do I need measurements, etc).
Lifestyle factors of the audience:
Information about your target audience: interests, lifestyle, behaviour, values etc.
