EcoLiving Hale: Sustainable. Beautiful. Attainable.
This is a custom home design and construction project that will be a demonstration of cutting edge sustainable design. This project is a registered Living Building Challenge and LEED project. The goal of the project is to be off-the-grid within the grid in an urban context. The project site is 7 minutes away from city center and will be self-sufficient relative to energy, water, and sewer, i.e. it will not rely or need these services from the public utility in the area, although these services are available at the site. The project will be used to educate landowners, developers and homeowners about sustainable living within the city.
Systems will include:
Photovoltaic system w/battery
Rainwater harvesting system
Greywater system
Residential scaled sewer system
Vegetative roof
This is a project of Green Sand Inc (http://greensandinc.com).
Below you will see the requirements for the website. The homepage will have the logo in the upper left (pdf attached below), primary header & footer nav, the main section will be a jquery slider with 5 rotating panels (see http://hawaiicleanpower.com for example).
