The frontpage needs to be clean and simple, with a clear call to action for potential customers. The web site is backed by an extensive backend web application, so there needs to be a non-obtrusive way for existing clients & partners to log in.
The visitor needs to recognize straight away that he is on a professional massage site (with bar/pub massage only accessible via a menu item, not to be represented on the frontpage). Three sections should be visible:
First, “Events and Fairs,” which contain calls to action for people wanting to book masseurs for trade fairs and similar events,
second, “Office Massage in the Workspace,” which contains calls to action for people wanting to book masseurs to come visit them at their office,
and third, “Australian Massage,” which contains information about one of our company’s USPs.
(The wording of those 3 sections is not yet fixed, it’s just a general description of the respective target audiences.)
2.) Content Page
A Content Page contains a main menu (preferrably horizontally arranged), a main vertical column of content and a secondary, smaller, column for addidional widgets.
Content Pages should be able to contain at least those elements:
* blocks of text with several layers of headlines,
* ordered and unordered list elements,
* image & movie galleries (i. e., thumbnails arranged in a grid)
