Coding skills will have no impact on the decision making for the contest winner. All I care about is getting a really nice template design. The winner will also be offered more work in the future to maintain and enhance the website. If the winner of the contest has the skills to code, I will offer the winner another $250.00 to code the template after this contest is over. That is a total of $750.00 in potential prize money. Koch Solutions, Inc. is a boutique consulting firm that specializes in providing quality and cost-effective professional IT consulting services. We cater mainly to large corporations and therefore the identity must look professional. But we dont want an identity that looks too "techie" or boring. We are looking for a contemporary professional look that is a little on the hip side. The template will have 4 pages: Home Services Careers Contacts These 4 pages make up the menu. When designing the menu, please keep in mind that there may be a couple more links added to the menu sometime in the future. For the contest, I only need the Home page and Contact page for review. Initially, you can just submit a Home page; once the Home page is nailed down, you can submit the Contact page. The winner of the contest will design the Services and Careers pages. I imagine these pages to be only slight variations of the Home page. You are the creative and talented designers, so I will not provide any specific requirements other than the template design should work well with our logo and be easy to navigate. The resolution can be 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768. Additional Info Added on Nov. 7, 2006: As I have said before, I dont want to curtail your creativity by giving you too much direction. But some of you have been asking for a more focused description. I thought I had given enough detail in my description at the beginning of the contest. But many of you were submitting entries with elements that we did not even think about. The elements looked great in the design but they would not work for our business at this time. We had to decide what elements we could use and which ones we could not. After much discussion, my partner and I agreed on what elements were needed to be on the Home page, what elements were optional, and what elements we did not want on the page at all. For example, weve seen many entries with a Latest News section and they look really great on the page. But we dont do anything that is really news-worthy. We dont run entire projects. We usually provide a special skill to a big project for a big company. If Koch Solutions, Inc. makes the news, it probably means I got arrested. Yikes! Elements on the Home Page: Necessary o Logo only the size of the logo can be altered.
