ASSE is one of the oldest and most trusted student exchange organizers in the world. ASSE's purpose is to provide an exciting, safe and valuable exchange student year abroad, an experience that will stay with you for a lifetime. The company has four customer segments described below. Finnish students 15-18 (‘exchange student’) and their parents 40-60 (‘decision maker’) are the most important customers. Primary A) Finnish students, age 15-18 They are open-minded and brave youngsters who are looking for new adventures and opportunities after the 9th grade. They are often more independent but still relieved to know that the exchange year will be a safe experience. Primary B) Parents, age 40-60 Parents will always make the last decision about the student exchange year, and they will be the ones who pay the program fees. They are often in good jobs, relatively wealthy but also have high expectations. These parents like traveling, and often they have been in an exchange student program themselves. For parents, the main concern is always safety. Secondary A) Host families in Finland, age 30-60 Finnish families that host incoming exchange students in their homes. They are interested in traveling, different cultures, and learning new languages. They are relaxed, social, active, and in a stable life situation that allows them to host an exchange student. They do not always have their own kids. Secondary B) Finnish students, age 18-28 Open-minded and adventurous students wanting to travel abroad, learn new cultures and develop their language skills. They have big dreams and goals for their life. The primary customer segment will be students aged 14-18, but we want to introduce other options, like Au Pair (girls 18-28 yo) and Go Campus (College & University students, 18-28 yo) programs early enough.

Design should be clean, modern and tailored for mobile phones. We are looking for a simple and convincing website. A great mobile experience is the key. Most of the students will be using the website with their mobile phones, so an app-like experience would be great. The idea is to look professional but also fresh.

These are only our initial thoughts. We are very much open for out of the box ideas. 1) Front page - Header image/video - News section (where the company can update important events and highlight other information) - “Student Exchange programs” section (for 14-18 yo students) - some text content about the programs and button to the category page for more information. - “For parents” section - some text content about the programs and button to the category page for more information. - “Destinations” section - Some kind of listing/images/slider about the available destination. Around 15-20 destinations/countries available currently in total in North America, Europe, South Africa and Asia. - “Go Campus programs” section (college/university programs for 18-28 yo students) - some text content about the programs and button to the category page for more information. - “Become a host” section (for student exchange host families) - some text content about the programs and button to the category page for more information. - “Au pair” programs section (for 18-28 yo girls) - some text content about the programs and button to the category page for more information. - “About us/Why us?” section - some text content about the programs and button to the category page for more information. - Section(s) for ‘call to actions’ (Request an info package, Register for online webinar, Apply now). The front page will be long and I feel it’s important to give opportunities to convert before scrolling to the end. - Section for a long (7-8 minutes) introduction video about ASSE - Contact us / ask more details Designer may re-consider the order of these sections/elements. 2) Main category page - This page template will be used for most of the main landing pages/topics mentioned above (student exchange programs, for parents, go campus programs, become a host, au pair programs). - Header image and CTA button - Section for important content which is fast and easy to read on mobile devices (this can be bullet points and/or short description). - Section for key features/options (illustrated with icons) - Section for longer text content - Section for testimonials - FAQ section - Section for sub-pages - some text content/bullet points about the topic and button/link to the sub-page for more information. There will be around 2-5 sub-pages for each main category page. - One or more sections for ‘call to actions’ (Request an info package, - Register for online webinar, Apply now) - You don’t have to use all of them. - Contact us / ask more details Designer may re-consider the order of these sections/elements. 3) Pricing page Header image Price listing - Where all the “starting from” prices will be added (a better version of this: https://www.studentexchange.fi/ohjelmamaksut/ohjelmamaksut). Variables for the pricing will be Destination and Duration). In the pricing table we will also need some sort of option to show more details, since the cost for insurance, school books and other things might vary by destination. FAQ section Contact us / ask more details (also possible to use other CTA’s on the page; Request an info package / Apply now). Designer may re-consider the order of these sections/elements. 4) Destinations sub-page - Sub-page template for each destination country - Header image and CTA button - Section for important content which is fast and easy to read on mobile devices (this can be bullet points and/or short description). - Section for key features/options (illustrated with icons) - Section for longer text content about the destination country/schools - FAQ section (destination specific FAQ) - Pricing section - with starting from prices, key features (what the price includes) and buttons for “Compare fees” and/or “Apply now”. - Listing/slider for other destinations (around 15-20 in total) - Contact us / ask more details Designer may re-consider the order of these sections/elements. 5) Sub-page template - A page template than can be used for explaining some of the things more in-depth (i.e. safety, value, host families, studying abroad) - Header image - Section for important content which is fast and easy to read on mobile devices (this can be bullet points and/or short description). - Section for key features/options (illustrated with icons) - Section for longer text content - FAQ section - Contact us / ask more details Designer may re-consider the order of these sections/elements.
Lo que debe evitarse
- Always avoid competitors colors in color palette, fonts or illustrations (red, dark purple, yellow & green).
