To emphasize the duality which is the central theme of the novel. it meant to showcase the shadows of things.
A city in the darkness.
Ruins in the red light.
and if you focus on the red light/mist, you can make out a face or a mouth or even a screaming figure.
Even, the pale lingering parts of the mist looks like escaping small flames.
You can also cut the cover into 2 halves: Upper where the city is illuminated and taking most of the section and in the lower part is where ruins hidden in darkness.")

Taking the same concept: \"When I think of some sort of (holy) vocation, I think something huge, bigger than oneself, we can only observe from low ground.
To even emphasize this even more, I mixed it with spiral encompassing the unknown figure as central figure.\"
In this one, adding even darker tones giving more space-like feel.
It also makes the figure even more of looming existence you can't ignore")

Therefore, I went with a grunge-heavy feel with a bit of a retro feel.
I took a few liberties with typography.
Also, used the colors of the American flag as a base.")

Mainly based on these 2 points, I came up with this idea.
A circus image mirroring that of a city and with typography as focus.
To explore themes of mirrored worlds even farther, I decided to flip the word \"Circus\" promoted by the fact that both \"Chaos\" and \"Circus\" starts with \"C\" and ends with \"s\", which ended to make this nice-looking title.
Flip the book, you can see (the other circus-themed world + \"Circus\".
It's cover meant to be seen from both sides as if it's reflecting two worlds.")

It already had many version throughout the years, the over-used fangs, blood, the castle but some were quite smart.
Trying to avoid all the cliches to create a cover that stands out, I decided to use \"Fog/Mist\" (which wasn't used as much by other covers) as basis for my concepts. (Since as you know, the Count can manipulate fog or turn into mist).")
